Physical Description

An eyewing resembles, in part, a large bat. Its thick body is covered in coarse black fur and leathery wings stretch out from its torso. The defining feature is its large, singular eye; an eyewing's eye is bloodshot and drips a steady stream of acidic goo.

Tactics

Eyewings are bestial and aggressive, and some would argue mad. They prefer to harry a foe by using Steal Vision, then swooping in close to drowned them in thier acidic tears. When too many enemies gang up on them they unleash thier Eyes of Madness ability in the hopes to drive them away.

Eyewing Lore

A character knows the following information with a successful Dungeoneering check.

  • DC 20: An eyewing is an aberrant beast capable of robbing creatures of their sight and driving them mad.
  • DC 25: Scholars believe that eyewings are bats infused with energies from the Far Realm. While at first this may have been an unfortunate coincedence of bats lairing to close to a planar rift, it is likely that cultists of aberrants and their followers have mastered a method to create eyewings and their ilk.
